Dear Middle Eastern Christian members and prospective members:

Middle Eastern Christians roots in the United States are deep. From the Middle East, the cradle of Christianity, continuous waves of Christians came into this country starting in the 19th century to escape religious persecution, political turmoil and economic hardship. They have integrated fully in this country and contributed to all aspects of American life, to which they pledged complete allegiance and dedicated their lives.

In the wake of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, which this organization vehemently denounces, American of Middle Eastern descent have been stereotyped and viewed with suspicion. Lack of proper communication and organization has caused our identity as Middle Eastern Christians to be overlooked by the American public despite the fact that the majority of Middle Eastern Americans are Christians.

We believe that through education and communication we can share our identity as Americans, with Middle Eastern Christian tradition of which we are proud.

We ask you to join our new endeavor to celebrate our place in this great society, and the contributions we have made, and will continue to make, to civilization.
